Kapa haka blog post

Last week we had kapa haka and we had to arrive to school at 8.30 to get our moko done. When I arrived I came to get my moko done so I did. After the bell rang we had to line up and and walk to the hall quitly. 

We finally started singing our first song called (utina my na waka). The camras were looking everywhere and I was really nerves because I was in the third row. Then we moved on to our next song and I forgot what it was called, The boys got moved to the front row. Then I was really nerves because we had to do the  haka in font of camras. I slaped really hard and sang really proud. When we finished we walked back to the back and sang one more song. Then we finished our kapa haka and took a school photo. I was so proud of what I did and we took some year six photos and that was me.

Then it was morning tea that fast. I went to eat and then played soccer with my freinds.The end 

Green team at ilminster

 Today was the day were we went to ilminster to wach the green team do there show. We finully arrived at ilminster and got in line boy, girl, boy, girl, When thay started we gave them a huge clap. Nanna coda was the leader crayfish, and then there were baby crayfish called Moko. Nanny koda told the babys a bed time story about Nanny koda saving the world from aliens. When Nanna koda was a baby she stoped the alians from invading. The alains were going to invade the world buy chucking rubbish everywhere and that will end up in the rock pools. That will kill all the marine animals. Along came the robot and hid behind a huge solarpanale. When the humans arrived thay saw all the rubbish on the beach. When they saw the solar pannle they tried touching it but the robot made it eletric. When the robot came out behind the solar pannle the humans started screaming. One of the kids how skates tought him english languge. When ever they said recucly the robot started running around the beach elitric. I think he didn't like the word recycle. The aliens started singing cocomalon and baby shark. When the alains finished the song the alians thought that the nanny koda was the leader so they started bowing to her. Then she told the alians to pick up all the rubbish on the beach. shuuuaahgakjhgfbwtegb the space ship came to pick the alians up. They also showed us a song. Finully the show finihed and we gave them a big clap. 

El3 spag

 This week we had to go to El3 spag with koka pip. We had to do this thing called high motality words. It was pretty fun atully. High motality words are a list of words that are high, medium or low. We had to do the high ones because the the teacher said. I can show you a photo if you want.

 

Action day

 On Tuesday we got to have action day were we got to walk to the start of Hamanatua stream and the up a hill called Otukakara.We got ready and then we walked there.We finnaly arrived and it was already really muddy, yucky. We also had to cross the stream. We got into our lins and opend the fence. 

We went down the muddy path and we crossed the moving river. Everybody was tacking ages to cross the river. I was finally in the top 5 to go through the river. When it was Tre's turn he slipt in and every one was laughing at him and he was even laughing. I went through the river and my feet were freezing like Antartca. Then every body made it across safly. Bang we started walking to the end of the farm. 40 minutes later we had some food and then we keeped walking on. We reached some cows and one started weeing and there was a pregnent one and it looked like it was going to die. When we walked a little further we saw a baby calf! The teacher said be quit so we did.We also saw some bones of a sheep or cow. Then the teachers said that will be it so we ate there and played there for a bit. 

We started walking back and walked back to school. Then we ate and we played under the knee tag but there wasn't that much people playing. After the bell rang I quickly ran out of class and walked home. I loved walking to the start of the Hamanatua stream. 

Cross contry

 Today we went to do the cross contry track and it was the real one. My legs were shacking and wobbling at the same time. Koka Sue said, "On your marks, get set, go!"

 We were off! I jogged for a little bit with Rori. He was in front of me and then I went in front of him. We finally did our first lap and I was still in front. When we saw the finish line, we gased it! It felt like we were going to black out. I didn't know what way to go but then the teachers said over here. Rori and I both dove over the finish line at the same time... He beat me by a cm! We went up to each other and said good race!

I felt really weird and yucky. I poured water on me and lay down. It felt really good. We walked back and had some food. I was really hungry. 

Learning at home

This week we have been learning frome home because of Corona Virus! It has been so boring and fun at the same time. Yesterday, we were so lucky because we got to go to the Okito store to get an icecream with our masks on. I went in first and choose my icecream, then I put my mums credict card in the sweeper thing. When we got our icecreams we quickly biked back home. 

On the way home we saw Harry and Koka Noilan. We promised mum we would do our homework when we got back. So we did. I really liked doing our maths because I learnt a new thing. I learnt how to do symmetrical stuff! After we did our homework, we went to Memes to do some running races. I was as quick as a jet plane.

Learning from home

 This week we have been learning from home because of Covid 19. It has been pretty fun I have to say. Last Wednesday there was a Covid cases in Auckland and I thought it would be so dumb. On last Thursday I got ready for school but I just remembered there was no school. We had to do school calls and do our priorities.

Each day we have been walking to the lighthouse with my family. When we get to the rocks we start looking for some living creatures like fish,crabs,baby crayfish and sometimes we see some seals. The seals are so funny because they always lift their head over their body. Me and Monte, my little brother, always make a incredible rockpool for the creatures to live in but it is always close to the ocean so when the tide comes it will take them all out to sea. 

When we walk back we have some food and do our homework. We usually have a group call with my friends and with the teacher. Then we play soccer in the backyard. We eat dinner and then go to bed.

chess tournament

Chess Tournament.

Last week, we went to chess tournament  in the hall and 2 different schools cames. One was Mangapapa and the other one was Hicks Bay. We got into our school teams and the man got the draws out.

Our first game started at 9.40am. My first opponent was Zebide, and he looked really challenging. He already started smashing me and at the end, he won. We had 7 games each, and I won 5 out of 7! I was absolutely stoked when I won my first game because I got a badge. 

We had prise giving at the end and the guy handed out medals and certificates. After that we got to eat and and have learning through play.

 This week we have been learning about olympics. We have been doing it in this little booklet and there is a alot pages. We had to do olympic athletes that were from Nz and mascots. I did chris wood because he is a famous soccer player who played for Nz and is the best soccer player in Nz. He plays as a striker for Nz and has scored alot of goals.

Jaxons and Arthur's diorama

 The last two weeks we have been doing dioramas. I have been doing the diorama with arthur and he chose the most dumbest penguins ever. We started cutting the diorama and then gathered the stuff from the beach and then got a hot glue from the teacher. We glued the stuff together and let it dry. When it was dried up we painted it and this is what it ended up looking like.

 This week I have been doing a quick write called list the buttons. It's really fun. You have to describe the things that you see on the picture and write them down.

Little blue penguins

 This week we have been learning about little blue penguins and it has been awesome. We sat on the mat and the teachers told us stuff about the little blue penguin.

I can tell you all I know about them. Little blue penguins are getting endangered around New Zealand. We are trying to help them because every morning they have to get food for their chicks but there is a lot of danger to get through. Cats, dogs, stoats, sea lions, cars and sometimes restaurants take over their nest. Sometimes they can get caught in fishing nets from commercial fishing boats. If the little blue penguins swim 300 meters down, they could die. Did you know that little blue penguins can waddle 1.5 kilometers and this is really impressive for the smallest penguin in the world. 

I hope we can save the little blue penguins from getting endangered.

Back to school

Back to school

On our first day back at school I was so excited. School was on tuesday because it was waitangi day on Monday. On tuesday dad drove me and monte to school and I was a bit nervise. When we arrived to school I quickly got my soccer ball and ran out to play soccer. 

A couple days after we got back from school we went to the hamanatue stream. Hamantue stream is our pepeha. The day after we went to hamantue stream we had to climbed up Mongaroa. The mangaroa hill is also our pepha and we climbed up it and it is really tiring climbing up it. In the olden days people had lots of stores of that pool at mongaroa hill. When the tide is coming in the fish swim into the pool and then at low tide the fish get stranded in the tide pool and people come and eat them for there kimouna. 

When we looked at the view we headed back down to school and I was dieing of water. Then we finally arrived at school and I drunk a lot of water.

Kapa Haka

On Wednesday we did Kapa Haka at the showgrounds. We were first up but I wasn't nerves because I keeped focused. Finally the school bus arrived. We jumped in the scholl bos and the school bus took us to the showgrounds. When we got there we had to put a skirt on and take our shorts of. We had to wear black undies and it was so annoying. We sang some songs and we got in our kapa haka lines. After we got in our kapa haka lines the man presented us to the audience. We hoped on the stage and the grannys,the grampus and the mum and dads were cheering so loud.

Our first song was Etarike. When we finished Etarika we did Utina. and started walking forward. Bay lead the haka and I went hard out. I slapped super hard and After I was so red. We did our last song and we got off the stag and watched the other people.

We got on the bus and the bus driver drove us home.

A1 soccer party

On the weekend we had our A1 soccer party at Arthur's and we got to do a lot of fun things. We got to do some relays and we played ping pong. Me and Arthur were in a team in pingpong and we were underbetibull.

At 2 00 we did prize giving so we all got in a group and they handed out the medals.There were only 3 people getting metals and that was me Harry and Nalu. Harry's metal was for players players and Nalus was for most improved player, myn was for the most valuable player. After we did metals we did stificuts and every one on the team got a sitifucut and sitificuts come with lollies and a toy.After all the prize giving we played ping pong and we went for a swim and the surf was humongous.

When we were done swimming in the ocean it was home time and everybody went home.

 On the weekend we played st the second beast team in a1. We woke up at 7 45 to get ready and We had breakfast and we got in the car and mum drove us to soccer and we did some drills and some shots in goal.The whistle blew and we got in our pozishones and played the game.

I was  striker and it was a coner and Rori crossed it in and harry volled it in.1-0 to us and then I scored a goal by volleing it in and nutmegging the goal keeper and it was 2-0. We started again and then bram scored a goal and it was 3-0 the whistle blew and we won.

After the game we did the player of the day and I got the player of the day. When we did all the stuff we went to watch Montes game and they one 7-1.

 On the weekend we played Te Wharau. So we had to wake up at 7 00 to get ready and we took Nalu to soccer. We had breakfast and then got in the cat and mum took me and nalu to soccer. When we got there we had some running drills and some shots against mako. The time was 8 15 we got in our positions and started.

We got the ball of the and ran up the field and shot and we basically scored  5 secondes into the game and it was really easy. I scored 3 goals which is a hat trick. Bram scored 3 goals to and Tika scored one goal. Then it was 7-0 to us at half time. Then we got back on the field and reef was goal and mako was playing. Then mako scored a goal and rori did. It was 9-1 to us we won.We did the player of the day and mako got it and bram did.

After the game we went back to our house to play soccer and after 3 hours we went to watch montes game and they won 4-0 and monte scored a goal. Then the game was finished and we went home.

Soccer Vs Central

On Saturday morning we woke up at 7am to go to soccer. Soccer started at 8.15am so I got ready for the big game. I had breakfast and got my soccer boots on and me and mum drove to soccer. We did some warm ups running around the field and shots in goal. Finally, the game started and they kicked off.

We all started charging at their team and I shot but I just missed. 10 minutes into the game I scored a hat trick and I passed it to Nalu and he shot and he scored but it was off side so it wasn't a goal. But then I crossed it in and Nalu scored. Rori crossed it in and I volleyed it in and nearly did a backflip. The first half was five nil. We got back on the field, they scored, so it was 5-1. Then we scored another goal. The final whistle blew It was full time.
After the game we did a celebration and we did the player of the day. The player of the day went to Hunter. After the game I went to get in mums car and went to get a new soccer ball. Our final score was 6-1 to Wainui Thunders.

On saturday morning we drove to Wilson park. We had to wake up at 745 to get ready for soccer. I got ready and then I jumped in the car and we drove to wilson park. Our game started at 815 so we had to do worm ups. We did some shots in goal and pacies with the ball. When we got in our positions I did paper scissors rock with the munutokes player and I won.

I kicked it to Rori and he ran up the field and passed it to me and I crossed it in but Reef just missed it. It had been 25 minutes that was the first half it was 7 0 to us. We got back on the field and manutuke started and we got the ball of them straight away. I ran up the field and scored a goal and then another goal. Then Manutuke ran up the filed and I tripped up and they scored. There was 1 minute to go in the game. I dribbled it up the field and crossed it in to Brame and Bram scored. Then the whistle blowed.

We ran to our couch and we did 3 cheers for manutuke one for the reef and one for the supporters the score was 11-1 to us. Then we did player of the day and reef got the player of the day. After that we went home and we had a play and that was the end of the day.
